Pylos by Gigamic is an award-winning abstract strategy game designed by David G. Royffe that combines elegant wooden construction with deep, multi-layered tactical gameplay. The objective is simple yet challenging: be the player who places the final wooden sphere on top of the pyramid. Playing with 30 dark and light wooden spheres, players take turns placing a sphere onto the board or climbing higher levels of the developing pyramid. Tactical depth comes into play when players conserve their limited supply of spheres by building square arrangements of four spheres—allowing them to retrieve up to two of their own pieces from the pyramid or move an existing sphere to a higher level. Crafted from durable, sustainable wood, Pylos delivers a fast, screen-free, two-player duel of spatial thinking and reserve management.
