Azul by Plan B Games is a world-renowned, multi-award-winning abstract strategy board game that challenges players to decorate the walls of the Royal Palace of Évora using vibrant ceramic-style tiles inspired by Portuguese azulejos. On each turn, players draft matching colored tiles from central factory displays and carefully arrange them onto their personal player boards. Once pattern lines are filled, completed tiles are transferred to the palace wall grid to score points based on adjacent placement, completed horizontal or vertical rows, and full color sets. However, players must plan ahead carefully, as taking excess tiles that cannot fit onto current pattern rows fall to the floor board as broken tiles, resulting in point penalties. Complete with tactile, high-quality resin tiles and an intuitive ruleset, Azul provides an accessible yet deeply strategic tabletop experience for casual gamers and strategy enthusiasts alike.
